Observing gaps in the industry, Alexander envisioned a consultancy that provides personal, face-to-face support, especially for individuals and small businesses, ensuring reliable, hands-on assistance in managing asbestos risks safely and confidently. At MARS Consultants, we fill the gap of larger consultancies who provide a one-size-fits-all service, we offer a reliable, hands-on approach to help people manage their asbestos risks safely and confidently.
About Alexander J Marsden
I began my asbestos career at 20, training with ASKAMS Ltd and earning my BOHS P402 before quickly progressing to complex, high‑risk sites such as schools, hospitals, prisons, and major commercial facilities. As I developed, I moved through several consultancies, eventually becoming a senior lead surveyor at OHS Ltd, managing large‑scale projects and gaining my RSPH Level 3 in Asbestos Air Monitoring to carry out air testing and four‑stage clearances.
My final role at Franks Portlock made me seriously consider self‑employment. Seeing others succeed as freelancers pushed me to take the leap myself. After years of hands‑on experience across diverse environments, I founded Mars Consultants — built on expertise, determination, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, personal asbestos risk management. I’m proud of the journey and excited for what’s ahead.
